Answers to frequent questions

How many customers do I have?
Only customers who have paid you in the past month count towards your ChargeDesk plan. Technically, we work out the number of customers you have as your total number of successful charges with unique customer IDs each month. Historic customers who have not paid you this month or customers with only failed charges are not included. If you're unsure, you can connect your payment gateway(s) to ChargeDesk and we'll show you how many customers you have.
How many agents do I have?
A ChargeDesk agent is someone who has access to view or manage your customers. These include agents inside your helpdesk and team members using the ChargeDesk site or extension. You do not need to include all your agents in your helpdesk - only those you wish to give access to your customer payments.
I've only got a few customers/agents over a plan limit, can I get a custom plan?
If you sign up with our automatic plan option we'll give you a bonus 20% on all the limits of the plans as shown above. This means that, for example, you'll be able to have up to 1,200 customers on the Hobby plan and up to 13 Agents on the Startup plan. The automatic plan option will automatically upgrade you to the most cost effective plan as your usage changes. Unfortunately other than this, we do not offer any custom plans.
 
How does the free trial work?
You can sign up and try ChargeDesk completely for free for the first 14 days. You do not have to provide a credit card to try ChargeDesk. You can upgrade to a paid account at any time during your first 14 days. Regardless of when you upgrade, you will not be charged for the first 14 days from when you created your account. There are some benefits to upgrading early, such as being able to import your entire billing history for free. Until you upgrade to a paid account, ChargeDesk will only import your last 30 days of charges.
What type of companies should use ChargeDesk?
If you receive customer payments through Stripe, PayPal, Braintree, WePay or Recurly, you should use ChargeDesk. Established companies find huge time savings and efficiency improvements with our helpdesk and browser integration. Smaller companies benefit from not having to build invoicing or billing history features. Whatever the size of your company, you'll have both happier customers and happier support agents while using ChargeDesk.
